About OTLA

  • For more than 65 years, the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) and its attorney and legal professional members have advocated for the rights of Oregonians by promoting safer products, workers' rights, access to quality health care, safeguarding the environment and eliminating discrimination in the workplace.

The members of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association are working to make sure any person who is injured by the misconduct and negligence of others can get justice in the courtroom, even when taking on the most powerful interests.

Ordinary people cannot depend on the political system to hold corporations accountable. When corporations and their CEOs act irresponsibly by delaying or refusing to pay fair and just insurance claims, producing unsafe products, polluting our environment and swindling their employees and shareholders, the only way for Oregonians to hold them accountable is in our courts.

Through education and training, OTLA attorneys subscribe to the highest standards of quality legal representation and ethical conduct. As attorneys who represent the interests of all Oregonians, OTLA is a powerful voice for its members, their clients' rights and above all else, access to justice for all.

Guardians of Civil Justice

Interested in supporting OTLA's legislative and political efforts on behalf of your clients and their rights?

The OTLA Guardians of Civil Justice Program is responsible for funding our lobbying efforts, public relations and political programs. Our Guardians demonstrate a continuing commitment to OTLA’s efforts on behalf of a strong civil justice system. Without our Guardians and their contributions, OTLA's ability to make real, substantive change to policies that directly affect our members' clients is greatly reduced.
